Dr. Mehta is active in a number of national organizations. She is currently secretary of Division 1 (General Psychology) of the American Psychological Association, and is co-chair (with Dr. Katie Edwards) of the Association for Women in Psychology‘s Featured Feminist Science Symposia Series. She serves on the editorial board of Sex Roles and is the teaching supplements coordinator for the Psychology of Women Quarterly.
